Midweek Lenten Worship Series: The Lies of Lent

Wednesdays during Lent, 10am and 7pm, we will encounter the ongoing struggle betweent he “father of lies” and the God of Truth as it was lived out by some of the people involved in the passion story: Judas, Peter, the priests, Herod, and the thief on the cross. Join us as we draw nearer to Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! As a reminder, supper is served downstairs before the evening service beginning at 5:45pm!

Ash Wednesday Worship (& Chili!)

On Feb. 22, we will worship at 10am and 7pm in remembrance of Ash Wednesday. Each Wednesday during Lent a meal will precede worship, this evening it’s the famous Elders’ Chili Cookoff! Dinner starts at 5:45pm! See you there.

Greater Love Commitment Celebration

During the weekend of November 19-20, Immanuel will make their commitments to Greater Love. This will be a weekend to remember! Not only will dinner be served after the 5:30pm service and brunch all Sunday morning long following all the services; but this also will be the day that we pray, “Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord to Thee!” God is going to use our gifts to change this world with the Love of Jesus. Don’t miss the celebration!

Greater Love Initial Commitments Gathering

November 10, the leadership families of Immanuel will make their initials commitments for Greater Love. We will meet at Gatto’s in Downtown Downers at 6:30pm. Babysitting will be provided here at the church. May God move us all toward Greater Love.

All Saints Day Remembrance

This weekend, Nov. 5-6, we will remember all those who have died within the last year. God encourages us to grieve, yet not as those who have no hope. For Jesus’ death and resurrection has changed everything! Join us as we celebrate the victory that is ours and theirs in Christ Jesus our Lord.
