The following service groups are always looking for new members.

Ladies Aid

All of Immanuel’s women are welcome in this group.  As the name implies, these women perform deeds of charity, foster Christian fellowship among members of the congregation and aid Immanuel’s organizations and individuals in any way.  They meet the first Thursday of the month with projects at 10:00 am, lunch at noon (bring your own lunch), dessert at 12:30 pm (provided by members of the group on a rotating basis), and a business meeting at 1:00 pm.  The chairperson is Mrs. Gert Snyder, (630) 964-6879.

Women’s Service Guild

The Women’s Service Guild promotes Christian fellowship among the women of the congregation through service projects and fundraising activities. The monthly meetings include a short business session and usually feature an interesting program followed by a social hour with dessert and refreshments provided by Guild members.  They meet on the fourth Monday of each month, September through June, at 7:30 pm.  The chairperson is Mrs. Judy Van Horn, (630) 435-0247.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild takes care of the paraments, linens and communion ware. They arrange for poinsettias at Christmas, lilies at Easter and the horn of plenty at Thanksgiving.  Please call the chairperson, Lucille Fuhrmann, (630) 968-3207, to volunteer your time.

Lutheran Child & Family Services

Lutheran Child & Family Services maintains an office on the second floor of Immanuel’s building. LCFS counselor, Kathleen Ligon, offers counseling to families and children.
