We invite you to worship with us.

Our community is a place to celebrate, question, learn, grow, doubt, serve, and simply live life with other people. Whether you’re looking for a place to belong or just passing through, you’re welcome at Immanuel just as you are. Our Worship hours:
Worship Services | Traditional and Contemporary
Immanuel means “God with Us”. It is the name given to Jesus, the son of God in human flesh and a promise to people that He will be with us forever. Immanuel also is an apt description of our congregation. God is with us, and His Spirit dwells within us through baptism, forgiveness and life in us. These gifts make us whole through the Word and Sacrament.
We worship weekly in the historic order of Christian worship: confession, forgiveness, Word, creed, sermon, prayers, Lord’s Prayer, communion, and blessing.
Traditional Services | Saturday 4:30 pm and Sunday 8:00 am
Traditional worship follows the orders of worship in the Lutheran Service Book with congregational singing of historic and modern hymns led by pipe organ and accompanied by classical instruments, bells, and choirs.
Contemporary Services | Sunday 10:00 am
Contemporary worship follows a modern order of worship with congregational singing led by a worship band singing contemporary Christian worship songs.
Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is home to a family of people who gather together to celebrate the love God. We find comfort, joy, and a grateful heart in His merciful spirit, the gift of His Word, and in the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.~ George, Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Downers Grove, IL
